I bring another update this is a very simple but functional demo on how we are going to manage each user assets on the game and is already running on Godot4. I will be uploading it to a site so you all can use it and check what do you own from the collection!
I will be adding functionalities along the way but this is the basic bare bones to fill up your Space Sta... you something secret with all your assets from the collection!
Still waiting on complete wallet authentication so nobody goes around using your assets or at least not that easily 😜 but in the mean time enjoy! 🙏🏻 thanks everyone for sticking around, literally just a reaction on this comments is all I need to keep going!
Well Godot 4 Beta is almost out and the HTML5 could be around the corner, but what does that mean for Space Diamonds?
1. With the HTML5 port(means you can export a web game), we can start testing what @paulprotonnz from GLB did and implement, the Godot-XPR bridge. This will allow to import info into the game directly that way you can have your own items in game, this will be a testing face to see what could be the best approach on connecting the blockchain to the game.
2. I already ported the bridge from Godot 3 to Godot 4, so it should be all plug and play taking advantage of the nice rendering capabilities of Godot 4. Possibilities go from building your inventory directly with "on chain information", selling items in-game, trading items in-game and pretty much everything you would do on a regular browser market on a 3D interactive environment.
3. As it is so far I will be releasing a non blockchain version of the game for all of you to run around for at least 1 min exploring the environment and such, the demo has a working inventory, 3rd person character controller and all based on the SD lore with actual 3D models from the collection **continues below**
New update, fully working character. Now lets design some place to explore and then connect those nice NFTs if we can or try to build something to release a basic demo so you all can fool around with space explorer genesis #xpr #spacediamonds
Check it out Space Diamond explorers! The game is taking shape little by little. On engine demo incoming. This will work as a testing ground for NFT and wallet interaction with the game. This could open a world of possibilities, still grinding at it! 🚀
